The mission of Everybody Wins! South Florida is to instill a love of reading and learning in elementary school students, to improve children's literacy skills, and to foster increased self-esteem. We fulfill our mission by pairing volunteer Reading Mentors from local companies and organizations with classroom children, to read one-on-one, once weekly, in the nationally recognized Power Lunch program.
Everybody Wins! is a national non-profit organization that is dedicated to promoting children's literacy through shared reading experiences with caring individuals. Our goal is to reach children while they are young, stimulate their interest in reading and create lifetime readers that will have better opportunities for success in school and life. Everybody Wins! serves thousands of children nationwide with its Power Lunch reading and mentoring program.
Everybody Wins! was mentioned in the video tribute to Senator Ted Kennedy on August 25 at the Democratic National Convention. Senator Kennedy is a Power Lunch reader with Everybody Wins! DC and is an honorary board member of Everybody Wins! Metro Boston. The video tribute spoke of how important his service is to him and included an interview with one of his reading partners, Jasmine, who is now in college getting a degree in education. |
